Phu Huai I San

Phu Huai I San is a scenic viewpoint on a small hill in Tambon
Ban Muang, overlooking villages in Amphoe Sangkhom and reefs in the Mekong River. It is also another spectacular sunrise spot in Nong
Khai, especially with the mist shrouded Mekong River during the cold season. Phu Huai I San is accessible for viewing the sunrise and the sea of mist only during October-May of every year, as the road up the hill is
rather steep and will turn muddy and bumpy in the rainy season, and it is not recommended to drive a private car up the hill. There is a transfer
service by the village I-taek car, which is available throughout the tourism season at the Ban Muang Subdistrict Administration Organisation. Visitors should arrive at the I-taek service area before 3.00 p.m., so to reach the
